FLOWER NATURE:

Rose is a woody perennial flowering plant of the genus Rosa. There are around 360 species of roses available. Leaves of this family are generally spirally arranged and can be simple or pinnately compounds that appear in around 30 genera. In leaves paired stipules (sometimes adnate to petiole or that attached surface to surface) and leaf margin is often serrate present. Extrafloral nectaries present on the leaf margin and spines present on the midrib of leaflets and compound leaves have rachis.

SEASONS:

Rose flower season is typically from May to October, but can vary depending on the climate. In South India, roses can flower all year due to the mild temperatures. In North India, roses only produce quality flowers in the winter.

PLANT TYPE:

Rose includes over 100 species, with different colors, sizes, and shapes of flowers. It includes the blooming plant Rosa acicularis. It is also referred to as the Arctic rose, bristly rose, prickly wild rose, and wild rose. all species have multiple sets of soft petals, with thorns adorning the stems, Erect bushes. The Flower structure is radially symmetrical, and hermaphroditic, with five sepals, five petals, and spirally arranged stamens. The cup-like structure is formed known as hypanthium by the fusion of sepals, petals, and stamens that are arranged in spikes or heads. A variety of color petals are present in the Rosaceae family but the blue color is absent completely. Wild roses, like Rosa chinensis, usually have five petals, but cultivated roses can have many more. 

TRADITIONAL VALUES:

Roses species have various colors and can be used to make perfumes. It can also be used for ornamental and landscaping purposes. Fruits of the family are edible. Ornamental Plant, Cut flowers, Mixture of volatile essential oils obtained by steam distilling the crushed petals made of rose perfumes. Rose water is used for cooking, cosmetics, medicine, and religious practices. Origin of production technique in Persia and then spread via Arabia and India and eastern Europe. Rose hips are high in vitamin C, can be edible raw and can be used in jam, jelly, marmalade, and soup or brewed for tea. Rosehip is also used to produce seed oil that is used in skin products or cosmetics. It is edible and used in the preparation of Gulkand (rose petal preserve). It is utilized in Ayurvedic medicine. The petals are commonly used in cosmetics for their benefits on all skin types. Even when dried, the rose petals retain their delicate fragrance, making them ideal for potpourris.
