PLANT NATURE:

It is a creaper. Plants belonging to cucurbits family are higher in nutritional value. Mukia maderaspatana belongs to Cucurbitaceae genus. It is (called as “musumusukkai” in tamil). It is also known as Cucumis maderaspatana. Mukia maderaspatana plant grows as a vine that is native to India.It is a traditional herb that grows in all dry moisturised soil. It can extend its veins to a length of 5 to 10 feet.

SEASONS:

Throughout the year. It thrives in a tropical climate with less water and sunlight. It can grow in various types of soil.

PLANT TYPE:

It is a creeper that spread on the ground. The flowers are small white in clolour. The fruits are like pumpkin with air filled.

TRADITIONAL VALUES:

It has been used in traditional medicine for a long time, particularly in Ayurveda and Siddha. The powder is commonly used to treat a variety of health issues, especially those related to the digestive and respiratory systems.
