The Thuththi plant is a medicinal plant that is native to tropical and subtropical regions. Abutilon indicum is native to warmer regions of India and is found in tropical and subtropical zones

SEASONS:

Abutilon indicum, also known as Atibala, is a plant that flowers and produces fruit throughout the year, especially during the dry season. It can flower from January to October and fruit from March to December. 

PLANT TYPE:

Abutilon indicum, also known as Indian mallow, is a velvety-pubescent, erect, many-branched subshrub or herb that can grow up to 2.5 meters tall.The stem is round, stout, and branched, and is often tinged with purple. It can be 0.3–0.9 cm in diameter. The flowers are orange-yellow in color, with triangular-obviate petals. The fruit is circular in shape, and is made up of 11–20 radiating hairy carpels. When dry, the fruit is brown. The root is cylindrical, smooth, fragrant, salty, and yellow in color. It is 1.2–1.5 cm in diameter.

TRADITIONAL VALUES:

It has a variety of traditional uses, including: Treating bleeding piles or hemorrhoids, Treating fistula, Curing white discharge problems of women, Cough treatment, and Body pain relief. It is used in folk medicine for treating many diseases, including inflammatory diseases, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, and muscular weakness.
